WASHINGTON, June 12 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed extending the attainment deadline for the Los Angeles-South Coast Air Basin's 2012 annual fine particulate matter standard from Dec. 31, 2025, to Dec. 31, 2030. This proposal follows a determination that California has met the Clean Air Act's statutory requirements for a Serious-area attainment date extension.
