WASHINGTON, June 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration has announced that the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis, Missouri, petitioned for renewal of a waiver from federal brake testing requirements for a transfer train operation. The request seeks continued relief from regulations governing transfer train brake tests and proposes alternative inspection procedures before trains move from a blast furnace area.
