WASHINGTON, May 27 (TNSFR) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has accepted for review and docketed an application from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeking a construction permit for a research reactor planned for the university's campus in Champaign, Illinois. The agency said the action opens a public process that includes an opportunity to request a hearing and petition for leave to intervene regarding the proposed reactor project.
