WASHINGTON, April 15 -- Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-North Carolina, chairwoman of the House Rules Committee, issued the following opening remarks on April 14, 2026, at a hearing to consider a legislative package aimed at reducing Clean Air Act regulatory burdens, endorsing pro-family tax cuts and providing an 18-month reauthorization of Sec. 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
