WASHINGTON, April 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) has issued a new rule reducing the number of members on the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) from 28 to 15. The interim final rule, published April 14, 2025, in the Federal Register, represents a rollback of prior expansions that had brought the Board to its largest size in its 85-year history.
