WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release on Feb. 7, 2025:

On Friday, February 7, 2025, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin traveled to Western North Carolina, to meet with local, state, and county officials, and residents to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Helene and to hear firsthand about the rebuilding effort taking place.
