WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 -- Sen. Adam Schiff, D-California, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) joined Senator Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) to co-lead the Disaster Mitigation and Tax Parity Act of 2025 alongside Senate colleagues. This bipartisan bill will exempt federal taxes on rebates homeowners receive when protecting their home against natural disasters.
