NEW YORK, Jan. 21 -- The International Refugee Assistance Project issued the following news release on Jan. 20, 2025:
Today, the White House announced that newly-inaugurated President Trump will sign a slew of executive actions attacking the rights and humanity of immigrants and eviscerating the asylum and refugee systems. These include temporarily suspending refugee resettlement and initiating the reinstatement of the "Remain in Mexico" program to push asylum seekers back . . .
