WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service issued the following news release on Jan. 17, 2025:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Coast Guard today announced the transfer of 532 acres from the Coast Guard to Cape May National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey, conserving vital habitat for a wide variety of migratory shorebirds such as rufa red knot, piping plover, and American oystercatcher.
