NIST: Novel 'Quantum Refrigerator' Is Great at Erasing Quantum Computer's Chalkboard

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 (TNSres) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology issued the following news:

* A new technique can reset bits in quantum computers highly effectively, a critical task for successful quantum computing.

* The technique uses heat flow between different sections of a refrigerator to reset these "qubits," the first time this method has been harnessed for a practical purpose.
