Old Dominion University: 'Monarchs Give Back' Collects Over 73,000 Items to Tackle Food Insecurity in the Community

NORFOLK, Virginia, Oct. 25 -- Old Dominion University issued the following news:
Old Dominion University's annual "Monarchs Give Back" community food drive raised 73,189 nonperishable items, including over $11,000 in cash donations, to benefit Norfolk Public Schools, the ODU Monarch Pantry and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
This year's efforts far exceeded the 40,000-item goal set by ODU President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D . . .
