RICHMOND, Virginia, Oct. 18 -- Gov. Glenn Youngkin, R-Virginia, issued the following news release on Oct. 17, 2024:
Governor Glenn Youngkin issued Executive Directive 9 Establishing the Office of Hurricane Helene Recovery and Rebuilding within the Office of the Governor.
"In the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene affecting Southwest Virginia, it is imperative to create a dedicated office to support the coordination of long-term recovery and rebuild . . .
