MIAMI, Florida, Oct. 3 -- The Miami-Dade County government issued the following news release on Oct. 2, 2024:
The Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera, urging Congress to pass Senator Rick Scott's proposed bill aimed at providing much-needed tax relief for homeowners. The bill would allow a federal income tax deduction for premiums paid on homeowners' insurance.
