WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- Sen. Rick Scott, R-Florida, issued the following news release:
Today, Senator Rick Scott again spoke with the Director of the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Dr. Michael Brennan, to receive a second briefing on Tropical Storm Helene which is forecast to strengthen to a major hurricane and pose a significant risk to the Florida Panhandle and Gulf Coast. The storm is expected to make landfall Thursday, bringing an increased risk of life-threatening storm surge . . .
