WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:
As the State of Maine continues to grieve the lives lost in Lewiston on October 25, 2023, U.S. Senator Susan Collins introduced the Armed Forces Crisis Intervention Notification Act to require U.S. military services to use state crisis intervention laws when a service member poses a serious threat to him or herself or to others. Senator Angus King is an original cosponsor.
