FREDONIA, New York, Sept. 4 -- The State University of New York Fredonia campus issued the following news:
The SUNYAC recognized Fredonia's Abby Szymkowiak as the Defensive Athlete of the Week and Cortland's Tyla Vuotto as the Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Szymkowiak collected her first shutout of the season in a 2-0 over Franciscan, making four saves. She had 11 saves in a 2-0 loss to ranked John Carroll University.
