LOS ANGELES, California, Aug. 14 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for Central District of California issued the following news release on Aug. 13, 2024:

A former manager at General Motors was sentenced today to 24 months in federal prison for conspiring to solicit and receive a $5 million bribe from a South Korean company in return for a promise to deliver a contract worth more than $100 million for various car parts.
