WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia issued the following news release:
Two women from California made their initial appearances before the District Court for the District of Columbia on multiple charges related to their actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. Their actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 . . .
