BLACKSBURG, Virginia, Aug. 6 -- Virginia Tech issued the following news:
The NCAA Division I Board of Directors has appointed Tim Sands, president of Virginia Tech, to serve as the board chair. He replaces Jere Morehead, president of the University of Georgia, who concluded his term at the board's Aug. 6, 2024, meeting. Sands joined the board in January as a representative from the Atlantic Coast Conference and will serve as chair until August 2026.
