WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release:
This year's presidential election in Venezuela was seen as a beacon of hope as the Venezuelan people casted their vote amid tyranny. Despite the Maduro regime's continued attempt to maintain its illegitimate grip on power, the Venezuelan people voted, in a landslide, for Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.
