WASHINGTON, July 6 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management issued the following news release:
WALKER RIVER, Nev. -- The Bureau of Land Management is taking public input on a proposal to transfer approximately 173 acres to the Walker River Paiute Tribe, to be held in trust by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The transfer would add to the Walker River Paiute Reservation located north of Walker Lake in Mineral County and about 22 miles north-northwest of the town . . .
