ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, June 21 -- Gov. Wes Moore, D-Maryland, issued the following news release on June 20, 2024:
Governor Wes Moore this morning signed a State of Preparedness declaration ahead of a potentially hazardous heat wave with dangerously high temperatures for much of Maryland. According to the National Weather Service, record high temperatures are expected Friday through Sunday, with increasing humidity during that time, which requires heightened awareness and preparedness . . .
