WASHINGTON, May 23 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following remarks by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland at the announcement of a lawsuit against Live Nation-Ticketmaster for monopolizing markets across the live concert industry:

Earlier today, the Department of Justice, joined by 29 states and the District of Columbia, sued Live Nation Entertainment and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ticketmaster, for violating the Sherman Antitrust Act.
