ATHENS, Ohio, May 9 (TNSres) -- The Ohio Environmental Council issued the following news release on May 8, 2024:
On May 6, 2024, three environmental groups filed a brief in support of the City of Athens, which is facing a lawsuit from the Ohio Attorney General alleging that state law preempts the City's recent ban on the distribution of single-use plastic bags. The Surfrider Foundation and Sierra Club are represented by the Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) on the amicus curiae . . .
