FRISCO, Texas, April 9 -- The Southland Conference issued the following news on April 8, 2024:
Nicholls infielder Garrett Felix and Lamar pitcher Jacob Ellis were named the Jersey Mike's Southland Baseball Players of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office.
Ellis is the third different Lamar pitcher to claim the honor this season while Felix becomes the second Colonel to win the hitter of the week award.
