PICATINNY ARSENAL, New Jersey, March 23 -- The U.S. Army issued the following news release:
The U.S. Army awarded a contract on March 5 to Olin Winchester, the operating contractor of Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, for construction of a facility to manufacture ammunition for the Army's Next Generation Squad Weapon. This contract supports modernization activities at LCAAP, a key government-owned, contractor-operated Army ammunition plant in Independence, Missouri.
