ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Feb. 17 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following news release on Feb. 16, 2024:
Governor Tim Walz today announced that the newly-opened Bemidji Veterans Home admitted its first resident - a Minnesota veteran who signed up for the Air Force when he was 19 years old and served for more than two decades. The Bemidji Veterans Home marks the third opening of three new homes across the state in the last six weeks. Preston and Montevideo also saw the opening . . .
