WASHINGTON, Feb. 17 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release on Feb. 16, 2024:
While on a flight in 2020, Russian opposition leader and anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny was poisoned by the criminal Putin regime. A year later, Navalny returned to his homeland and remained arbitrarily detained by The Kremlin ever since. Earlier today, he was pronounced dead.
