ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Feb. 15 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation on Feb. 14, 2024:
WHEREAS: According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, American Indians accounted for 4.41 percent of victims of all reported homicides or non-negligent manslaughters in Minnesota in 2023, despite representing only 1.1 percent of the population in our state; and
WHEREAS: 8.7 percent of all people reported missing into the federal law enforcement . . .
