TALLAHASSEE, Florida, Feb. 9 -- The Florida State Senate issued the following news release on Feb. 8, 2024:
Today, bill SB 764, sponsored by Senator Linda Stewart (D - Orlando) and pertaining to the retention of sexual offense evidence, passed unanimously through its second committee. The bill will be heard next in the Senate's Fiscal Policy Committee. The House companion to this bill is ready to be heard in its final committee in the House.
