WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 -- Rep. Mark Alford, R-Missouri, issued the following news release:

Earlier today, Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04) led a bipartisan letter to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Vilsack regarding the pasture-raised claims petition (Petition 23-03) submitted to USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The letter specifically says:
