WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 -- Rep. Joshua Harder, D-California, issued the following news release:
Representative Josh Harder (CA-9), a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, announced that the Manteca Police Department will receive a $625,000 COPS Hiring Program grant. This federal funding will allow Manteca's police department to hire five new police officers. The Department plans to hire three officers this year and two additional officers next year.
