ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, Jan. 26 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration issued the following news release on Jan. 25, 2023:
Shovels hit the ground today for a new air traffic control tower at Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). The new tower will allow the airport to meet growing and strong demand for air travel in the region.
