LONDON, England, Aug. 10 -- The Nuclear Industry Association issued the following statement:

In response to the Prime Minister's calls to "consign coal to history and shift to clean energy sources" in the wake of the IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report on the effects of climate change, a Nuclear Industry Association spokesperson said.
"The UK is still highly dependent on fossil fuels and is currently on a 45-day coal burning streak . . .
