GENEVA, Switzerland, July 17 -- The International Emissions Trading Association issued the following news release:
IETA welcomes the successful launch of trading operations in China's nation-wide emissions trading system, with the news on Friday that the first deal was closed at the price of 52.78 RMB/t (US$8.24/t) for a volume of 160,000 tonnes. The deal was worth some 7.9 million RMB (US$1.23 million).
