HONOLULU, Hawaii, June 24 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release on June 23, 2021:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a settlement with AES Hawaii, LLC over Clean Air Act and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act violations at its coal-fired electrical power generating plant in Kapolei, Hawaii. The facility will pay a $199,725 penalty.
