Wright-Patterson Becomes First Active-Duty Purple Heart Base
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, Dec. 18 -- The U.S. Air Force (88th Air Base Wing) issued the following news:
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was honored as the first active-duty Purple Heart Base by the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Department of Ohio, in Dayton Dec. 10.

Wright-Patterson Pre-Registrars Eligible Vets for Installation Access
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, Dec. 18 -- The U.S. Air Force (88th Air Base Wing) issued the following news:
On Dec. 16, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base began pre-registering eligible veterans for installation access, which gives veterans the opportunity to use the commissary, military exchange and certain Morale Welfare and Recreation facilities.

Air Force Marathon Achieves Silver for Conservation Efforts

The Council for Responsible Sport awarded silver level certification to the Air Force Marathon for their efforts in taking environmental action to minimize waste and improve conservation at the 2019 Air Force Marathon Sept. 19-21.
