WINDOW ROCK, Arizona, Feb. 1 -- The Navajo Nation Government issued the following news release on Jan. 31, 2025: On Tuesday, the 25th Navajo Nation Council approved Legislation 0227-24, amending a 1953 Bureau of Indian Affairs oil and gas lease by adding an additional 80 acres to the lease that had previously been relinquished back to the Navajo Nation.
