WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release: The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that U.S. Army Technician Fifth Grade Clifford H. Strickland, 25, of Fowler, Colorado, who was captured and died as a prisoner of war during World War II, was accounted for December 20, 2023.
